Steampunk Girl - Meljen's Digi's - Songbird Challenge #29

Hi chickies!  We have an exciting challenge for you over at the Songbird Challenge blog today - it's Die Another Day.  :)  Which just means you need to use a die on your card!

This week our challenge is being sponsored by Meljen.  I have used her fabulous Steampunk Girl image.  She is so sweet!  Old Toy Trains  by Nana Mouskouri is the song this image reminds me of.  I colored her up with ProMarkers and Copics.  I used the Banner Stacklets 2 die from Taylored Expressions for the main image and layered it a few times.

That fabulous ribbon is rm my stash.  I stitched around the entire image and added some Wink of Stella to her outfit and the little sparkles around her.

The paper is from My Minds Eye - Merry Little Christmas pad.  The sentiment was punched out using some SU punches.  The actual wording is from Papertrey Ink's Merry & Bright set.

Please join us in this week's challenge over at Songbird!

Thanks for stopping by!

Harvest Princess - Saturated Canary (TPE227)

Happy Monday morning!

This week over at The Pink Elephant Challenge blog we have a "Be Thankful" theme going on for Thanksgiving.  For this card I used Harvest Princess from Saturated Canary - I love the girls she draws!  :)

I used my Kaiser Craft Miss Empire pad for again (it has wonderful Thanksgiving-y papers) for this card.  I added some flowers and a doily from my stash.

I colored her with ProMarkers and Copics. I like the fine tip nib on the ProMarkers for very small areas. But I have all the Copics so my array of color choices there are amazing!

I added some Lace Trim from Martha Stewart. It is gorgeous!  The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms.  I finished the card off with a fancy bow and some Wink of Stella on the feathers in her hair and the apples in her basket.

Please come on over and join us for this weeks challenge over at The Pink Elephant!

Thanks for stopping by,

Winter Fairy Halla - Mo Manning

Happy Sunday!
Today I created a little tag using Winter Fairy Halla by Mo Manning.  I've had this image for a while and I still think it is adorable.

I colored the little fairy with copics and covered with Versamark and Heat and Stick powder and then added glitter!  I hand dyed the seam binding that luscious blue and tied a frilly bow.

Here is a close up on the glitter!  Love it!!

I added a wooden button and some twine to finish it off.  I am entering this card at Cute Card Thursday and Mo's Challenge blog.

Enjoy!

I Heart Christmas Trees - Jane's Doodles

Hi ladies,

Today I have a CAS design to share using Jane's "I Heart Christmas Trees" digi stamp. I paper pieced the tree and popped up the little sections on dimensionals.

I used a Heidi Swapp paper pad called Believe. I shaded the areas around the tree and the card with Antique Linen distress inks.

I stitched around the edges of the card and used some sequins and rhinestones to accentuate the little tree.

The broad ribbon is from SU and the button is from my stash. Here's the link to Jane's store where you can find alot of wonderful clear and digital stamps.  I am entering this card in the following challenge at CAS-ual Friday and Always Playing with Paper.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pammy's Stocking - Mo Manning & Copic Coloring Video

Hey there,

I have a very cute Christmas card to share with you today using a Mo Manning image called Pammy's Stocking.  I tried again to create another coloring video - my head is still in there, LOL.  I'll get better with practice - I hope.

Anyway, here is my card:

I used MME's Lost & Found Christmas paper pad for this card.  I used some Bazzil card stock for the layers.  I used a simple layout that focused on the image.

I colored her completely with Copics.  I love this little girl - she is so cute hugging her full stocking.

I stitched around the edges of the card and the main image.  I added some ribbon from SU and a little wooden button.  I added some of the Wink of Stella pen for various areas of the image.  I am entering this card in The Shabby Tea Room Challenge, The Curtain Call, Designed to Color, and the sketch over at Mojo Monday.

Here is my video showing how I colored Pammy.

Enjoy!

I used Pro Markers for thier skin and copics for thier out fits.  I colored the lady in purple with a hoodie, I think it is supposed to be hair, but it just looks like a hoodie to me.  :)

I added some lace trim and a cute ribbon from my stash for the bow.  The sentiment is from SU.

Here is a close up on the little wooden camera embellishment.  I covered it with he Wink of Stella pen.

Masculine Birthday Card - Papertrey Ink

Hey ladies,

Today I have a card that I totally "cased", "lifted", "copied" from Bori in Budapest!  I just loved her card and I had a cousin that was turning 30 this weekend - it was perfect!

Masculine cards are such a challenge for alot of people, myself included - this took all the brain work out of it.  Great card Bori!

I used MME's Miss Caroline's paper pad for the wood background and Papertrey Inks By the Number die and the Big Birthday Wishes stamp set.

I misted the grey card stock with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.

I added some hemp twine to finish it off.

Rainbow Set - Pink Gem - Songbird Challenge # 28

Hi chicas!

Today there is a fun challenge over at the Songbird Challenge Blog.  This time we'd like you to make a card that shows your favorite song.   For my card I used a set called Rainbow Set from Pink Gem Designs.

I actually created two cards using the Ranbow set:

I used sequins on the rainbow image here:

I cut out the cloud and stamped a sentiment from My Favorite Things, Clearly Sentimental About You set on it.

Putting on all of the sequins was pretty tedious, but the end result was fabulous!

This card was alot of fun to make.  Very bright and it will put a smile on your face.

Below is the first card with the Rainbow Set:

I colored the image with copics and added Wink of Stella over everything!  It looks so gorgeous in person!!!!   My girls actually asked if they could have the card!  :)

I printed the images in the sizes I wanted and cut them all out.  The clouds are popped up with dimensionals.  I hand wrote a sentiment and added lots of rhinestones to finish it off.

Please join us in the challenge over at Songbird!

Enjoy!

TPE225 - Challenge Photo

Here is the card that I made for it, I used a digi stamp from Saturated Canary called Cornelia.  I've had it for a while and never colored it up.

I just bought a few new paper pads, this is one of them called Miss Empire from Kaiser Craft.

I used ProMarkers for her skin and Copics for the rest of the image.

I hand dyed the seam binding and tied it into this funky little bow.  The leaf is from Prima.  I covered the leaf and parts of her dress and feather with Wink of Stella.  Looks great in person.  :)

The sketch I used for this card can be found here at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  Please join us for this weeks challenge over at The Pink Elephant!

Comfy Slippers Fairy - Saturated Canary

Hey there!

I have an embellishment heavy card today.  :)  I love this look but it is not something I am 100% comfortable doing...  So I gave it a shot and I am happy with how my card looks.

So I started off with this adorable digi from Saturated Canary.  I colored her with Copics and ProMarkers.  I added lots of Wink of Stella to her wings and the transparent area over her skirt.  I used very different colors on her hair - but I love how it looks!  I used a paper pad from Kathy Davis called Journeys.  It has ALOT  of beautiful purple papers.

Here is a close up on my coloring.  I am really enjoying using ProMarkers for skin tones.  I feel like I have more control of the ink...  It also blends beautifully.

I added lots of details to this card, let me list them: stitching around the boarders, pearls on a string, copic airbrushed flowers, vellum butterflies that have purple stickles on them, ribbon, a doily, sequins... I think that's it!  LOL.  Nope, I have a glittered clothespin and a cute little star embellie!

I finally have a pic that shows the Wink of Stella pen!

I am entering this card in the challenge over at Saturated Canary, Cratf-Dee BowzThe Memory Nest, and over at Craft Catz.

Thanks for popping by!

Jar - Janes Doodles

Happy Friday!

I have a sweet card to share with you today that uses both a digi image and a clear stamp from Jane's Doodles.  I used Jane's adorable Jar digi to create a shaker card!  The first for me - but it will not be my last.  I am now obsessed with what I can put in this little jar.  LOL.

Here is how I did it - I printed the jar twice, once on Neenah cardstock and once more on SU's cardstock vellum paper.  I cut both out and sewed around the edges, leaving the top of the jar open so I could fill it with goodies.

I put red, orange and gold sequins into the card along with some white chunky glitter.  I then sewed up the top of the card.  I tied some hemp twine around th top and added a button.

I used Studio Calico's Hey Day paper pad and a doily from my stash.  The sentiment is from Jane's Doodles Big Sentiments clear stamp set.

Have a great weekend!

Odette - Mo Manning (TPE224)

Hey there!

I hope our week has started out great!  Today I have two cards to share with you for the current challenge over at The Pink Elephant!  We are asking that you use the sketch below to create a card or scrapbook page.

 http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/

Using this sketch was perfect for the two cards I had in mind.  :)  I used an image that I have had for a while from Mo Manning called Odette.  I colored her up with Prisma pencils and blended with Gamsol.  She is so cute!

I used MME's Merry Little Chrismas paper pad.  The colors are not your typical Christmas colors but they are very fun!!

Here is a close up of the two colored images.  I think I like the little blue one.  :)  Of course both of the dresses and shoes have been covered with the Wink of Stella pen.

I added some SU ribbon that matched the papers and a snowflake that I have had in my stash for a while.  I colored the little rhinestones with copic markers that matched.
