Fixer Boy and Dante's Drum - Mo Manning

Hi Ladies-

Mo Manning has a fun challenge - is asking you to post your favorite Mo Manning card that you have made in 2012!  Well as you know I use a ton of Mo images so the choice was very difficult for me.  :)

I went through my posts and found this one below.  I love Fixer Boy!

I am submitting this post for this challenge:

http://mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com/2012/12/challenge-166-fave-mo-card-made-by-you.html

Have a wonderful day!

Natasha

Are you a Mo Manning fan?  I sure am.  I was looking for an image to make a card for my husband on his bithday and I found not one but two images on Mo's site!  The first one was Fixer Boy.  He is so adorable.  I totally cased this card from here:  http://onehappystamper.typepad.com/stamping_inspirations_wit/2012/03/a-sweet-new-discovery.html

Cindy did an awesome job on her card.  Here is my version:

I printed him on Copic Express Blending paper and colored him with Copics.  The patterend pape that I used was from October Afternoon's Campfire paper pad.  It is so "boyish" in a very appealing way.

My next card, that I made was using Mo's stamp called Dante's Drum.  He is the sweetest little Rasta Boy playing his drum.  :)

I printed Dante on Copic Express Blending paper and colored him in some happy Jamaician colors.  :)  I mounted the image on some Kraft cardstock.  I don't remember who the patterend paper is from...

Well that's all for now - have a wonderful evening.

Well I know this is not a new stamp, but it is new to me and I love it!  The image is huge!  There is no room at all for alot of embellishment.

I used memento ink to stamp the image on Neenah paper and colored with my new colors!  I cut out the dress and used a stylus to emboss the back so there is alot of dimension on the dress IRL.  I added dazzling diamonds with my Quickie glue pen to her hair ribbons, her dress and the ribbons on her pants.  I used a scallop die from PTI for the border on the top.  The DSP is called Countdown to Christmas and it is a 12 by 12 pad from My Minds Eye.

Halloween - Hand made Cauldron

Hi Ladies -

Today I have a card I made for one of my co-workers who LOVES Halloween!

I used a few different punches to create a witches cauldron.  It came out pretty good, she liked it alot.

I used papers from a 12 by 12 pack that I bought from Michaels.  I layered it on top of a kraft base.  The cauldron is popped up on foam tape and has some blue tulle coming out of it like smoke.  I added some Stickles to the tulle so it looks sparkle-y in real life.  I went around the cauldron with some white gel pen fo show some dimension...  I punched a tag using my SU tag punch and stamped a sentiment from Scrappy Moms Halloween set.  I went around the tag with some white gel pen and added a string bow as a final touch.

Enjoy!

Mark Your Spot - Taylored Expressions

Mornin' Chicas!

I have a fun project that I made a few weeks ago to share with you today.  I used a new stamp set called Mark Your Spot from Taylored Expressions to make some book markers.  They are adorable!

First of all let me tell you that my girls and I are AVID readers!  WE LOVE TO READ!  So making the kids a few book markers was a great idea.  :)

I have several pictures to share, but the one above shows all 5 of the book markers standing up.

Here is a picture of them on my craft table - you can see the detail a little better...

My kids love them.  :)  You really can't see it in the picture but there is Stickles on each book mark just to add some shine.  They look awesome IRL.

Well, here is how I made these bad boys, it was a process.  I used my Silhouette and sized, welded, and cut out that shape.  I then glued two of the shapes together to make it sturdier.  I then stamped several images from the TE stamp set and colored with my copics.  I looked up a video on how to make book mark tassels and waa laa!  There you have it!

Hope you enjoy!

Autumn Bounty - Sweet n Sassy Stamps

Good evening ladies,

I have a card to share with you tonight that I just made using the Autumn Bounty samp set that I won from Sweet n Sassy.  :)

I used some papers that I purchased from Michaels in Fall colors.  I ran the burnt orange one through my big shot with a wood grain texture plate.  I love how it came out!  Then I ran some burlap through my big shot with a circle Spellbinders die.  Finally, I used my MFT fish tail die and ran some brown card stock through the big shot.  Whew!  That was a lot of die cutting for me!

I hope you can see all the texture that I have going on here!  Some times pictures don't do justice.  :)

I added an image from the stamp set and a very cute saying that is also from the set.  I used my ticket corner punch from SU and a few SU circle punches for the sentiment.  I distressed the edge using some Antique Linen distress ink on the image and the sentiment.

As a final touch I added three orange-y rhinestones to the top corner.

I am submitting this card to the challenge below:
